Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step when you sign in: after your password, you enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they can't get in without your phone.

Turn it on

  • Open Account → Security and choose Set up two-factor.
  • Scan the QR code with an authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password or any TOTP app. You can also type the key in by hand.
  • Enter the 6-digit code the app shows, then select Turn on two-factor.

Signing in afterwards

Enter your email and password as usual. We'll then ask for the current code from your authenticator app. Codes rotate every 30 seconds — if one is rejected, wait for the next and try again.

Turning it off

Go back to Account → Security, choose Turn off two-factor, and confirm with a current code.
