For security, the eSMS Africa SMPP gateway only accepts connections from approved IP addresses. If your bind cannot connect, the most common cause is an unlisted source IP.

How to whitelist your IPs

  • Send us the static public IP address(es) of the servers that will bind.
  • We add each IP to the SMPP firewall on port 2775.
  • Resellers can whitelist their clients' IPs directly from the dashboard.
  • Use static IPs — dynamic IPs will drop the connection when they change.

Once your IP is approved you can bind immediately. If you still see 'connection refused', confirm you are connecting to port 2775 and that your IP has not changed.
