- Alphanumeric sender IDs are not supported in the US or Canada; traffic uses long codes, toll-free numbers or short codes.
- US A2P 10DLC traffic requires brand and campaign registration; toll-free numbers require verification.
- TCPA (US) and CASL (Canada) require consent, sender identification and a working opt-out.

Can I use my brand name as the sender in the US?
No. The US and Canada do not support alphanumeric sender IDs. Messages come from a registered long code, a verified toll-free number or a short code.
What is 10DLC?
10DLC is the US framework for business texting from 10-digit long codes. Brands and their messaging campaigns are registered before traffic is allowed.
