Long URLs waste characters in an SMS and can push a message into a second segment (which costs more). Short links fix that — and they let you see exactly who clicked.
Why it matters
- A short link like
go.esmsafrica.io/promokeeps your SMS within one segment. - You get per-link analytics: which country, city and device clicked — so you can compare a Lagos push with a Nairobi one.
How to use it
Create a short link for your campaign destination, then drop it into your SMS content in the eSMS SMS dashboard. On Business plans and above, links in your SMS campaigns can be shortened automatically. Because it's one eSMS Africa account, both products share your login and billing.
